Sox, Rangers

Bedard picked up his 1st win in a Sox uniform, he pitched 6 innings to hold onto the win. Crawford hit his 1st grand slam in a Sox uniform, breaking open the game. Reddick also was 4-4 in the game, his 1st career 4 hit game. Lackey takes the mound today for  the series win , what 1st's will we see today?

Sox win 9-5 & there were 3 homeruns

Sox beat the Yankees 9-5 & now lead the Yankees by 1 1/2 games, woo hoo. Tek, Ellsbury & Papi each hit homeruns to make Beckett the winning pitcher. There were also some great plays by Pedroia & Scutaro. Lester takes the hill vs Burnett tonight, Let's hope Burnett sux & the Sox take the series.

Jimmy Fund

Sox back in 1st

The Sox have won 2 games against the Rangers by scoring double digit runs and everyone in the line up is hitting the ball well. The pitching has been great as well, Miller takes the mound tonight for the series win. The Sox are in 1st by a full game as the Stankees lost last night, Thanks A's.

Sox finally beat the Rangers

Lackey pitched & held his own as the Sox bats also came alive. Everyone  in the Sox line up each had at least 1 hit, Gonzo homered twice, Jacoby returned & stole 2nd right away. Crawford also stepped it up and got some hits. Papi is set to return tonight as well, as Beckett takes the mound.

Varitek

Vartiek hit his 1st triple yesterday since 2007. I feel that is a sign for Great things to come for the Red Sox. We all know what happened in 2007.
